Partnerships
Open News Spotlight considers collaborations that fit its subject and preserve a clear boundary between editorial decisions and commercial material. Send proposals through the Contact page with the format and intended audience described.
Possible collaborations
We consider relevant educational projects, reader resources and clearly defined partner placements that complement coverage of news reading. Proposals should explain the subject, proposed format, audience and any commercial interest involved. Acceptance is not automatic.
Partner placements
Standing partner placements may be considered when the material is relevant and suitable for the publication. Their position does not imply editorial endorsement. Paid, sponsored or partner content is labelled clearly where it appears, and its wording remains distinct from independent editorial coverage.
Editorial boundaries
Partners cannot buy changes to editorial conclusions, coverage or corrections. We may decline proposals that create a conflict with the publication's purpose or make the source and status of material unclear. Contact us with a concise outline rather than sending promotional copy as an accepted placement.
A headline is a starting point, not the whole story.
We look for the source, the scope of each claim and the details that can change its meaning. Readers should be able to see what is known and what remains open.
